New Business and Franchise Opportunities

New business and franchise opportunities usually present themselves everyday. The easiest way to keep track of the new business and franchise opportunities is to go online or visit franchise expos where the different companies display there products and give advise to those who are interested in joining in a franchise.

A franchise is beneficial to the franchisor as it is an opportunity for his/her company to expand, hence increasing its popularity and visibility in the market. In some cases, the franchisor is the distributor of the products to be sold in a franchisee’s shop, hence directly benefits from the sales in the different franchises. The franchisor is also not liable to legal action or losses made in the franchisee’s business.

In a franchise, the assumption usually is that the franchisee will get the motivation to give his/her best in the business because he/she has an investment pegged on the business in terms of capital.

Because of these advantages to the franchisor, new business and franchise opportunities are usually readily available in the market to those who are interested in them.

With the exception of the United States and China, many governments recognize the existence of franchises but very few have moved to enact statutes governing and regulating them.

Franchises usually apply mostly to businesses that:

    * Have a good record of making profits.

    * Can be easily duplicated.

It is therefore the case that a new business in a franchise will most likely have a famous trademark of a popular company but be owned by an independent individual. The new business with a famous trademark often has the ability to turn in a profit much faster than that which starts its own brand name from scratch. This is because people are attracted to brands they know and have grown to trust.

Franchises are mainly based on service; however, there are those that are built around products. It is thus easier to find a service based franchise than any other type of franchise in the market.
